Raw Red Crystals

Less powerful than Raw Blue Crystals , a raw red crystal appears to be completely inert. However, just like with raw blue crystals, properly refining a crystal will result in a unique magical effect depending on the specifc technique used. As discovered by Rowan Lestrin , touching two of these refined gems links them permanently. Once both gems are placed at a set distance, a force barrier that lasts up to 10 minutes is automatically generated, the gems then shatter. The barrier can be a maximum of 10'x10'x1/4".

Many raw red crystals have been found in Irondeep and they are abundant in the Upperdark .
