Goddess of the Moon

Selûne is the goddess of the moon, the stars, and the sky. She is a chaotic good deity who is often depicted as a beautiful woman with long hair and silver eyes. Selûne is the twin sister of Shar, the goddess of darkness.  

Typical worshipers

Selûne is worshipped by sailors, travelers, druids, poets, and anyone who looks to a starry night sky for guidance. Her followers often hold festivals during full moons, and some view her as a protector against the evil creatures of the night and signifies .  

Clerical practice

Selûnite clerics are often healers and defenders, using their magic to protect their allies from harm. They also have a strong connection to the land, often working to preserve natural habitats and protect against unnatural darkness.  

Rituals and prayers

Selûne's followers perform a variety of rituals during the full moon, often involving the offering of silver coins or jewelry. Selûne's clerics also perform a rite of passage for young women called the "Rite of the Silver Goddess," which involves a night of meditation under the full moon which signifies the beginning of womanhood.
