The Far Realm

The Far Realm is an enigmatic dimension sealed away by the ancient dragon gods of creation. It's a place of unfathomable horrors and inconceivable entities, where the very fabric of reality unravels into madness.

History

The Far Realm predates the known cosmos, existing as an alien universe beyond the comprehension of mortal or divine beings.   Recognizing the existential threat posed by the Far Realm, the dragon gods of creation undertook an epic task to seal it away from the rest of the cosmos, preventing its corruption from spreading.

Unspeakable Horrors

The Far Realm is home to eldritch entities and Lovecraftian horrors, beings of immense power and strange, unknowable nature. These creatures defy the laws of physics and sanity, existing in a state beyond mortal understanding.   In this realm, the concepts of time, space, and logic hold no sway. The very environment is an ever-shifting landscape of impossible geometries and indescribable colors, challenging the sanity of any who glimpse it.

The Cult of the Star Children

The cult, residing in The Feywild, worships the stars as windows into the Far Realm, believing them to be the eyes of the eldritch beings. They are obsessed with summoning these entities into their world.   Cultists perform arcane rituals involving eyes, symbolic of sight and understanding, in their attempts to tear open a rift between the Feywild and the Far Realm. They believe that through these portals, they can invite the gaze and presence of their eldritch deities.

Dangers and Implications

Any breach into the Far Realm risks unleashing chaos and madness into the universe. The entities within are capable of warping reality, devouring minds, and reshaping worlds into nightmarish landscapes.   The seal created by the dragon gods is not just a barrier; it's a crucial safeguard maintaining the cosmic order. Its integrity is vital for the continued existence of all planes as they are known.
