These changelings, shrouded in mystery, are the unseen movers in a world where information is power. Their existence is a tightly kept secret, with their origins, culture, and very lives revolving around the art of stealth, espionage, and the intricate web of debts that define their society. As silent shadows, they weave through the realms, their loyalties as fluid as their forms, all while serving the needs of their clandestine clan.

Debt System

From birth, every member of the Inhabitants is born into a societal debt, accruing the cost of their upbringing and their mother's lost earnings during their years of training. This debt is not just a financial burden but a rite of passage, dictating their path until they can repay it in full.

Training and Upbringing

Each child is rigorously trained in espionage, hand-to-hand combat, and other essential skills for infiltrators. This upbringing is more akin to intense preparation than familial bonding, fostering a sense of rivalry and competition rather than unity and love.

Services and Secrecy

The Inhabitants are renowned for their discretion and effectiveness, making them the go-to specialists for the Knights of the Temporal Order (KOTTO) and others in need of expert reconnaissance and infiltration. Their services are purely informational, most often (but not always) avoiding direct conflict or assassinations.
Each major city harbors an Inhabitant liaison, ready to be called into action by KOTTO members or other influential clients. These liaisons operate in the shadows, their identities and true allegiances known only to a select few.
