The Raven Queen
The Raven Queen is a powerful and enigmatic deity who rules over
The Shadowfell. Though she is often associated with death and the afterlife, she is also rumored to be a protective mother figure to her chosen people, the Shadar-Kai and her warlocks. Her influence is felt in the natural cycles of life and death, and her powers are closely linked to the mysterious magic of the Shadowfell. Her intentions are unknown to all except for the Shadar-Kai who serve her with undying loyalty.
Typical worshipers
The Raven Queen's followers include the Shadar-Kai, a race of shadow-touched humanoids, as well as warlocks who seek to tap into her powers. Aside from her loyal servants, not many worship the Raven Queen.
Clerical practice
Not much is known of the Shadar-Kai, aside from the fact that they serve the Raven Queen. They appear to be distantly related to elves, though their appearance is much paler in comparison. Shadar-Kai have been spotted in many planes, but their goals remain a mystery.
Rituals and prayers
The Raven Queen's rituals often involve the use of ravens, and prayer seems to be most effective in quiet places. The Raven Queens influence can often be felt in ruins, but especially in abandonned chapels and temples. The Shadar-Kai and warlocks of the Raven Queen tend to pray for her guidance in these places.
