The Overworld
The Overworld is the most "neutral" of the Planes of Existence, and it is the center of all of them, with the other six surrounding it. It has quite varied environments, from high snowy mountains to deep ocean trenches. It is populated by a large variety of species, many of which have formed into groups of various sizes and structures. Large cities dot the surface, often separated by vast areas of dangerous landscapes and creatures. The land beneath the Overworld is just as, if not more populated than the surface, with large underground cities, and tunnels that stretch for many miles.
A constant threat while travelling in the Overworld is stumbling into a portal to one of the other Planes. Being the center of existence, each of the other realms can be accessed from the Overworld with varying levels of difficulty.
