Chromatic Pentagram
The Chromatic Pentagram is a massive structure in the shape of a five-pointed star that was a critical component of the ritual to summon Tiamat during the Great Dragon War. It currently resides in Avernus.
Purpose / Function
The Chromatic Pentagram was built shortly after Tiamat was confined to Avernus. Each point of the building was imbued with the essence of one of the five chromatic dragon types. The structure itself would work as a channeling device to aid in freeing Tiamat into whichever realm the Pentagram was drawn into.
History
In 1492, the Pentagram was summoned into the Well of Dragons, as part of the Cult of the Dragon's plan to summon Tiamat into the Prime Material Plane during the Great Dragon War. During the Battle at the Well of Dragons, due to the actions of the Breadwinners, the ritual was interrupted before it could be completed, sending the Pentagram and all of its contents back into Avernus.
