Odium

Odium was a member of the Cult of Bane and was one of the survivors of the raid by the Sea Prince Syrgaul in 1492.
In 1492, Odium was visiting the Isle of the Abbey chapter of the Cult of Bane when the island came under attack by pirates. The pirates managed to destroy the abbey proper, but left after the chapter's leader Ordurn put the pirates under the sway of the aboleth S'gothgah, though Odium did not know this. Despite this, the pirates still managed to destroy all boats off the island and Odium was trapped. Over the next four years, Odium managed to make enemies of most the abbey's inhabitants thanks to his constant grumbling.
In mid-1496, the Heroes of Saltmarsh arrived at the Isle of the Abbey seeking answers about the Banesmark, though they did not yet then know its name. They managed to kill all the surviving cultists on the island, save for Odium and Bayleaf, who they took prisoner. While exploring the basement, they discovered the Winding Way, a hidden dungeon behind a shrine to Bane. Worried about dangers that might be inside, they group tricked Odium into entering the dungeon, where he was savagely torn apart by the various undead guarding it.
