Trollskull Manor
This once grand inn and tavern has fallen into disrepair, and now stands as a dilapidated eyesore in the otherwise pleasant Trollskull Alley. It has passed through several owners since the death of one of the previous bartenders, though noone has taken the time yet to renovate the establishment for one reason or another. It came into the hands of Volothamp Geddarn who won it through gambling. He later donated the title deed to Polly Perrenporth and Eclipse of the Moon as payment for finding his friend Floon Blagmar. Transfer of the deed was overseen by Magistrate Vittorio Silmerhelve, who was able to fill in some of the background about the manor.
The Manor has had a history as strange as any other place of interest in Waterdeep, originally just a wing of the grand estate of Lord Nyvist Mordigan, who left no heirs after his assassination in that early 1100's. The structure that would become the Manor itself was rebuilt and renovated several times, before being partially destroyed in 1298 when conjured Trolls ran rampant through what was previously known as Lormaunder's Skulk. The structure was rebuilt into what became known as Trollskull Manor, as was utilised as an orphanage, before it was revealed the old headmistress was in fact a Hag, and had been eating the children. Lifenior "Lif" Barrelion became the new owner, purchasing the Manor and putting all of his savings and effort into making a successful tavern. After his tragic death nearly 50 years ago, the Manor was left empty and fell to dilapidation. Ownership went to Ulkoria Stonemarrow but she didn't have the opportunity or patience to deal with it. She lost the Manor in a bet to Volo.
Polly & Eclipse became the owners in 1492, on the 14th of Ches, and started funding renovations. During this process they discovered that Lif was still present in some spirit form, moving things and making noises. The spirit seemed to be pleased that the old building was going to be brought back again.
