In 2575 a squadron of nine Samarian Crusade (see Crusade of Samaria/Samarian Crusade) ships engaged a Tellurian Federation Space Navy picket at the Prodlo Nexus. Four ships were destroyed and two badly damaged, but the remaining three evaded the Tellurian ships and transited insystem to Prodlo, launching a plasma missile attack that killed several hundred. Both the Emyrillian League and The Tellurian Federation submitted Queries to the Interstellar Clearinghouse Academy in advance of formal declarations of hostilities against Califersa.
