Himinbjörg
It is also the home of the Gatekeeper.
Purpose / Function
To monitor those coming and going into Asgard via the Bifrost, and to house the Gatekeeper. The Himinbjörg is therefore Asgard's first line of defence against attacks from other Realms.
History
Alterations and improvements were made by Heimdall and Odin throughout the early years of Odin's reign.
