Morag

Morag is an uninhabited oceanic planet in the Andromeda Galaxy. It was formerly disputed territory between the Kree Empire and Nova Empire. Following the collapse of the Kree Empire, it has been formerly claimed by the Novas.

Morag was once inhabited by a thriving and technologically advanced humanoid population. Before their extinction, the citizens of Morag constructed a large temple structure to house and protect the Orb, an Infinity Stone.

Due to unknown climate-altering factors, the majority of the landmasses of Morag became submerged by oceans and uninhabitable. It is notable that Morag is in the same system as Korbin, who's population were also wiped out by an unknown catastrope. It is unknown if the two events are connected, but it has been theorised that the population of Morag were Korbinites.

The planet is now abandoned, and the oceans briefly recede to expose landmasses only once every 300 Terran years. During the most recent oceanic recession, the Orb was stolen by Peter Quill.
