Transmode Virus
The Transmode Virus is a cybernetic disease created by Dr Eve. Those infected with the virus became members of the Phalanx, intended to be mindless techno-organic drone soldiers.
It was originally created on the orders of Emperor Genis-Vell as a weapon for the Kree Imperium. However, it was discovered that the Phalanx were not mindless, as intended, but shared a hive-mind and a will sepperate from that of their creators.
The Phalanx began deliberately infecting people with the transmode virus, leading to the Phalanx Crisis.
It is believed the virus was destroyed along with Hala, however the zone around Hala's ruins has been quarantined, because of the risk of the virus having survived the destruction.
