Chult

Chult is a large peninsula in the south of Faerun, on the southern edge of the Trackless Sea near Calimshan. It is covered mainly in a massive unexplored jungle since the end of the second sundering, but also includes large rivers and several volcanoes. Chult has a hot, wet climate and an extremely dangerous and densely packed jungle filled with disease-ridden insects, vicious predators (including many species of dinosaur), and undead. For many years, Chult was the home of its patron deity, Ubtao, but he has since abandoned the Chultan people and left them to wander the maze of life on their own. The only real remaining city in Chult is Port Nyanzaru, run by its seven merchant princes. There were other cities prior to the Spellplague, but these have been lost or destroyed.
