Jenilop

A planet in the Aurigae System.   Jenilop is the closest planet to Aurigae. As Aurigae is a very hot, class A star, Jenilop is extremely hot. The surface is mostly lava. The planet is however, quite large. This gives the planet a strong gravitational pull.   Although the core is immensely hot, it is still a solid, metallic core because of the pressure. Also, it pulled all of its moons into itself with gravity long ago.   Although the core is extremely valuable - being a very large deposit of iron, nickel and even more rare metals like gold and iridium, among others, it is also one of the most dangerous areas in the entire system because of the sheer temperature and pressure such a drill would need to withstand. Furthermore, it is accepted to be a futile effort to set up a space elevator because there is no solid ground to anchor it to.   It wasnt until when the Phelke Commonwealth joins the Hyperion Federation - when the planet was even considered to be extracted. In the end, it would be QEN machines that would be vital to extracting parts of this core. A very large floating rig was built via very heat resistant starships.
