Abelin Laclaire was the Count of Killmor and the father of the current Count, Domin Laclaire. He was married to the sister of King Marcel II, Margot Carrel.
Abelin is not remembered as a successful Count of Killmor. For the short time he ruled, he was renowned as a fop and a dandy, and well known for making very bad decisions with is money. His wife, Margot, was every bit the quaintrelle. They loved to throw lavish parties and balls, they spent veritable fortunes on clothes and shoes and they ignored their children's upbringing entirely in favor of living a life of pleasure and ease.
