Domin Laclaire
His Grace, Count Domin Laclaire
Domin Laclaire is the Count of Killmor in the Kingdom of Aria. He is a dedicated leader that wants to see the County and the Country prosper and grow in power, prestige and population.
Domin has growing concerns about the future of the Kingdom, however. He sees the power and authority of the King of Aria waning and even being actively eroded by power-hungry nobles throughout the Kingdom, mainly the Count of Dunmor, Ranald Dechateone.
The growing gap between the nobles of the western regions of the Kingdom and the nobles of the east is proof for Domin that there is a sickness in the Kingdom of Aria, and he wants to be part of the cure.

Domin is remarkably capable at reading people's motives and intentions from a distance. No one is sure where this uncanny ability comes from, but he has mastered the ability to read a rivals motives with incredible accuracy.

Personal history
Domin was raised by a series of governesses and butlers, and only saw his parents for a few hours every week. His mother and father were very, very busy socializing and moving about the country from event to event. He and his siblings became very close because of this, and they have remained close ever since.

Motivation
Domin sees the state of the Kingdom of Aria as a growing chasm between the Count of Dunmor and the leaders of the eastern counties, himself included. He is convinced that the Count of Dunmor is building a powerbase centered around himself that is excerising an immense amount of control and influence over the western half of the Kingdom. Domin sees this as a threat to himself first and the Kingdom in general, second. He does all in his power to counter this influence, as often as he can. Count Domin is a patriot and loves his Country, and he is convinced that Dechateone and his allies are working against the interests of the Kingdom of Aira.
Likes & Dislikes
Domin detests his neighbor, Count Mathis Boucher, seeing him as an indecisive mouthpiece for his Dechateone wife. He also hates the Count Ranald Dechateone, Boucher's father-in-law. Domin knows about the border troubles between his vassals and those of Boucher, and sometimes rewards successful raids into Balmor territory.

Family Ties
Domin's mother, Margot Carrel, was the daughter of King Roche Carrel, and he is related by blood to the Royal House of Argoni as well. His family is very well connected, but not well loved amongst the Royals.
Social Aptitude
Domin is not considered very socially apt, and can quite easily be called socially inept. He is blunt, lacks sublety, and curses like an old sailor whenever he is angry or upset.
Wealth & Financial state
The Laclaires are a welathy family, but because of the excess that his father and mother lived nearly every day, that fortune had dwindled substantially by the time he came into his title. Slowly, he has turned the fortunes of his family around over many years of hard work and dedication.
