City of Jemptal

Jemptal is the capital of the Kingdom of Cobal and its seat of government. Regent's Palace is within its walls, as is the Tower Hall where the Warden of Jemptal works and resides. The city has many fine paved streets and ornate homes, but every building is constructed in such a way that, should the need arise, any one of them can become a formidable fortress.

Points of interest

Just outside the west gate (Holy Gate) along the banks of the Caldar River is the High Holy House. This is a massive traditionally designed temple dedicated to the Druidic Faith. The High Holy House is a huge, multi-story structure with one great double door, no windows, and a thatched roof that reaches a height of 70’ at its center peak. Within the huge space are large chapels with a single wooden statue of each of the major gods of the druidic faith. Large ornate silver lanterns light the interior day and night, and the house is led by the High Priest Oswyn Whyte, a Halfling male of 80 years, and 6 druid priests and 7 acolytes (all Halflings).
