Esme is the owner and operator of The Warden's Arms Inn, located just inside the Lower Gate of the Rolar city walls. Her husband, Willard, is one of the Corporals of the Watch for the city, and makes sure that the Watch patrols are always near-at-hand in case of trouble at the Inn.

Esme is tall, standing 5'10" barefoot. She has an athletic build, with broad shoulders and an ample chest. With fully half of her patronage at the Arms standing less than five feet, Esme towers over her domain.

Esme has worked at the Warden's Arms since she was 11 years old. The former owner, Mildren Poole, took Esme in full time when Esme's mother died in the last great orc invasion. When Mildren took in 9 years ago, she left the entire establishment to Esme, on the condition that she never, ever, sell it. The Arms must stay open!
