Kyra Naylan
Kyra Naylan was the wife of Ryuri Dalnyall Nolan Dalnyall and the mother of the current Ryuri, Olan Dalnyall. She was the daughter of Arlo Naylan, the Lord of Tornhome in the western portion of the Dalbrok territory. Arlo was a particuarly competent warrior and was given the area of Tornhome to govern because of its proximity to the dangerous and belligerent Duchy of Hekmo. Fearing the growing hostility of Hekmo, Dalbrok and Dalnyall chose to wed Nolan and Kyra to strengthen the bonds between the two Clans.
While Kyra seemed to all to genuinely love her husband, no one can deny that Nolan benefited from the union more than Kyra did. When Nolan took the title of Ryuri after the tragedy at Craigshome in 177 AF, he was torn by guilt, indecision and doubt as a 24-year-old leader of nearly 100,000 clansmen in a season of hostility with imesse. Kyra masterfully helped her husband navigate the troubled waters of politics, influence and intrigue that is monarchic rule. If Nolan Dalnyall is remembered by history as a strong leader, much of that is because of Kyra.
