Max was the last king of a united Imesse. He divided his kingdom between his twin sons, Max II and Mak just a few days before he died.
His wife was Queen Ethel , and she lived only two short years after her husband, dying of grief after the death of her younger twin son, Mak, of a coughing fit.
Max was plagued with ill health his entire life. Always frail and weak, he spent a significant amount of his life in bed. His reign is fondly remembered, however. He is remembered as a fair and just king, appointing fair and just lords over his subjects. His 35 year reign was peaceful and plentiful.
