Royal House of Maxalli
The Royal House of Maxalli was founded by King Josso am Maxalli when he was crowned King of Imesse on November 18, 98 AF. King Josso, known as the Thunderfist, was the leader of the Maxalli family of Southridge. Josso was 26 when he was crowned King outside the ruined walls of Northridge.
The current head of the royal family is Max III, High King of Imesse. The family has branched over the last 100 years, with two royal lines now existing between the High Kingdom of Imesse and the Kingdom of Lesser Imesse and a further baronic branch existing that stems from the Grand Baron of Wessridge founded by Maklar am Maxalli, the brother of King Lothar am Maxalli.
As the current head of the Royal House of Maxalli, Max III is under a great deal of pressure to secure a successor to the throne of the High Kingdom. As young as he is, were something to happen to him both Kingdoms would be thrust into a real crisis. Max has declared no heir to his throne (as of yet), so in the event of his death, the throne could be claimed by any direct male decendant of his grandfather, Max I. The closest claimant to that position would be Mak II, the current King of Lesser Imesse. Another possible claimant could be Fulman am Bondari, the heir to the Barony of Cyell and the oldest male child of Adith Maxalli, Max I's only daughter. There is another potential Bondari claimant in Walton Isenbar, the oldest child of Aliya Bondari, Adith's first-born child and the great-grandson of Max I.
The Maxalli family has ties to the royal houses of Aria, Fangort, Cobal, Colo and beyond. These connections, in some cases, date back centuries. Nearly every noble house in Imesse, Aria and Fangort can claim a Maxalli ancestor.
