Yore

The Forest of Yore

Yore is once part of the Great Forest, long before the memory of the elves. The corruption of Darkwood Forest (known as today) spread slowly, and the trees south of the Great Forest started moving southwards, and came to the location known as the Forest of Yore today.
The pristine glades are untouched by hunters, as many know a great magical presence resides in the woods. In there, Erridansis Whitewolf, a great archmage of Salamonis, founded the Magic School of Yore, where many great wizards were from.
The current Grand Wizard of Yore has left his post for many years, and as such, the School had stopped accepting new apprentices, but its doors remain open for those who are curious to understand the history behind magic.

Politics and Factions

Magic School of Yore
The once renown academy is a dilapidated building overrun with wild vegetation. Maria Shakkstick (LG, female human wizard) is the sole inhabitant of the school, and spends her days sweeping fallen leaves from the grounds, but to no avail. Maria was once a student, but has lost her purpose when the school closed. She often mutters to herself and answers her own questions, but is always welcoming to those that are interested in the school, if one can look past her grizzly appearance and odd mannerism.

Children of the Forest
Sentient small creatures of the forest are known to outsiders simply as Children of the Forest. They are a benevolent bunch, curious of strangers but never venturing beyond the forest's boundaries. The larger beasts act as guardians for the small children and are hostile should anyone tries to harm them.
