Gallada Ironwise

Gallada Ironwise is a Dwarf and the daughter of Kalladar Ironwise, Ar-Thane of Kurdenheim. She is an ambitious young woman and keeps an eye on her father’s crown, making it clear to all rivals that she will be the one to overcome when and if a challenge for the crown occurs. She loves her father dearly, but she considers him to be something of a coward. If it were up to her, Kurdenheim would set out to battle Gristamere, the Orcish Hordes, and the Giants of Jotunheld.

She was well aware of Prince Harbryn Thonwyr’s attempts to take back Sudwaine (the two are old friends), and she greatly desired to aid him. Her urging failed to push her father into brasher moves than he would normally make, but she was successful in convincing him to work with Jarl Hilde Icereaver to attack Gristamere's northern borders to prevent the goblins from participating in the Battle of Worldbreaker's Howe.

Gallada has a twin brother, Borodin. Twins are very rare among dwarves, and they are often considered “The Two in One”, from a dwarven belief that twins are one dwarf that fractured into two. She is a strong fighter, as well as every bit her father’s equal in forge-craft. She does lack, somewhat, in diplomacy, but her brother is very much the advisor and diplomat that she is not. If the two of them chose to work together, they would likely be a nearly unbeatable team. Unfortunately, the twins are bitter rivals for the title of Ar-Thane, and an alliance doesn’t seem in the offing.
