Lashakis Overview

 

Lashakis is a city on the southern coast of Keshwan. It is, perhaps, one of the last two living cities that remain from the ancient Dragonborn Empire of Azmartheon. It is sometimes called the “City that Reaches to the Sky” for its vertical architecture that lifts domes and spires far above the rest of the city.

Known by the Minotaurs of Minostal as Limanios. Both that name and its draconic name of Lashakis mean the same thing – the Last Harbor. This name is doubly true, as it is also the last harbor one encounters sailing south from Manakos.

The city has one of the largest concentrations of Dragonborn in the world. It also home to many minotaurs who do not worship Baphomet, as well as Humans of many cultures, primarily from Falwyth, Bedourin, Velnar, and Dojhan. In fact, human travelers from Dojhan brought with them the martial arts taught by the Kalashtar and founded the Monastery of the Four Dragons, which teaches monks the Way of the Four Elements.

The western part of the city was struck by The Rending, and it remains largely deserted and haunted. Only the most desperate try to live there, and very few who visit there return unchanged.
