Riptide

Riptide is a Dragon Turtle who travels from place to place, seeking a good place to build a lair. He is arrogant, a bully, and a bit dull, but he is not altogether stupid. Faced with his own demise, he chooses to bargain, valuing his life over his ego. In 1081 SKR, his voyages took him near the islands of Falwyth, where he struck a bargain with the Merrow Wizard Acliestes the Defiler. He provided muscle to the merrow's plans in return for choice of plunder. This arrangement served them both well, until the Fire Wasps, working with the Vedalken of Nethalarus, moved against Acliestes. Riptide realized they had the upper hand and chose to abandon the fight after bargaining with Tristan Holdfast to be able to remove his hoard. His voyages have taken him away again, and it's unknown where he will turn up next.
