Talbot Holdfast

Keeper Talbot Holdfast is a Summerling man who resides in the town of Seowyn's Crossing. He runs the Minstrel's Tarry tavern. He used to be part of the Road's End Garrison, so the garrison men patronize the Tarry more often than not when they come to town.

Talbot is married to Anna Holdfast nee Ableby, oldest daughter of Janette Ableby, who runs the cookhouse next door. The Holdfasts have two sons, Hal and Willie, and three daughters, Mattie, Tillie, and Rosie. His grandson is Tristan. His is a great teller of stories, and he collects them from travelers who stop at his establishment.

In 1081 SKR, it was revealed that Tilomena was not actually Talbot and Anna's blood daughter, but that she'd been given to them as a foundling by a wandering Wizard. They raised her as their own, and no one questioned the new child's appearance. The wizard turned out to be Arcalos Goldbeard, who was shepherding the last child of House Tarmoore. As a result, Talbot's adoptive grandson Tristan is en route to the throne of Summerlund.
