Amaterasu: The Mystery of Mount Myōjin

Something is happening at the small mountain village of Utsunomiya. Something so unsettling that the residents there have taken to praying daily to Amaterasu for aid. Whatever is so distressing only seems to happen at night. Due to her own nature as the sun itself, this means that Amaterasu hasn't been able to see it for herself. No villagers have died yet, but they are becoming increasingly desperate. Perhaps time is running short.   In the Sun Goddess' place, she's chosen to ask her champion, Aotsuki Tsukamoto to investigate on her behalf. This was an important enough task that Amaterasu herself descended (in disguise) to speak to Aotsuki personally, thus risking Izanagi's wrath. The Man with a Golden Arm is not one to shirk his duties as champion. He promised to travel to Mount Myōjin and the ill-fated village at its base. There, he should find a shrine to Amaterasu with attendants who are willing to help.   Lord Aotsuki Tsukamoto traveled to Mount Myōjin and discovered a plot orchestrated by Priestess of Izanami-no-Mikoto at Miwa-myōjin, Sumisaki Hisae, to slowly sacrifice villagers of Utsunomiya to the Goddess of the Dead. In order to collect villagers, she nurtured the vengeful feelings of Momose Nao, a boy whose sister had been killed some weeks before and whose grief had transformed him into a Dodomeki.   Aotsuki put a stop to Hisae's plot and revealed that Nao's sister had not been murdered, but rather committed suicide. He talked Nao back from the brink of mental collapse and promised the boy forgiveness if he would continue to work for the betterment of his village. Priest of Amaterasu Ishii Fusaharu agreed to keep Nao as his acolyte.   Claimed Rewards:
