Senator Mon Mothma

Mon Mothma is the current Senator from Chandrila, a position she has held for nearly two decades.
She was one of the main senatorial advisors to Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine during the Clone Wars, but opposed the increasing amount of emergency powers the Supreme Chancellor was being granted by the rest of the Senate. Towards the end of the war, she become a member of the Delegation of 2,000. Immediate after the declaration of the Galactic Empire, she was one of the senators detained by Imperial Intelligence, but was able to avoid arrest by swearing loyalty to the Emperor. After the pacification of the Jedi rebels on Kashyyyk, she withdrew her signature from the Petition of 2,000 and focused on opposing the Emperor behind the scenes instead of publicly.
She is now one of the leaders of the Freedom Network, along with her long-time ally, Bail Organa.
