Adamant Obelisk

The Adamant Obelisk is an ancient structure in The Red Sands of which the city of Ssishasz Alpha is built around. Its walls contain engravings that the Yuan-Ti Empire uses to divine prophecies and teachings from the followers of their god, Dendar, and the collective Anathema from the founders of the Yuan-Ti Empire all the way through Zasz. At the top of the Obelisk lies a room of isolation known as the Eye of the Desert, where the current Anathema stays isolated from the rest of their people. The room prevents the psionic influence of the Anathema from dominating the wills of their own people; an Anathema like Zasz could inadvertently cause the collapse of the empire by merely thinking about wanting more water. A simple desire may cause every living being in the city limits to ignore all semblance of self-preservation to satisfy that will. Anathema are however allowed to edit or add new engravings on the Obelisk, leaving the Oracle of Anathema, currently Ishiza, to interpret and execute their commands.
