Il'Drathune

Il'Drathune is an underwater city situated in the deepest trench of Lake Ganymede and was constructed by ancient Drathunae. The city is a marvel of engineering, having been dredged into bedrock at crushing depths. Natural light does not penetrate the depths of the city, but it is illuminated by bio-luminescent filter feeding jellylights, giving it a warm and inviting feel. While the city was once a thriving metropolis of Drathunae, today, it is mostly inhabited by other aquatic races. Despite this, the Drathunae language and culture still dominate the area, and their unique communication style of bioillumiscent light reading is widely used as a sign language.
The continuity of the Drathunae species is currently in question due to their reproductive difficulties, however the entire city is devoted to the preservation of Il'Bisal culture regardless of the species' survival.
