DaiMon Dozig (Doe-zig)
Dozig is an independent merchant and sponsor of Ferengi Fight League fighters.
In 2376 DaiMon Dozig organized a fight between the Fight League's #1 contender and an outside fighter known as the Inferno. This match was hosted in the vicinity of Chiron Station causing considerable pressure on the small outpost as it was not equipped to handle the dozens of ships that swarmed to witness the fight firsthand.
In 2377 Dozig was encountered within the Typhon Expanse and shared knowledge that the Ferengi Alliance had discovered a way to cross the nebula safely by identifying patterns in the hydrogen explosions, however he did not reveal the algorithm that could be used to detect these patterns.
ADDENDUM: In 2377 Dozig was found trying to loot a resource storage yard and was caught by the automated mining drones and his ship was in the process of being disassembled when the Nightingale was able to rescue him in exchange for a promise that the Ferengi would stay away from this part of the Expanse.
Update - 2378
In exchange for a derelict Voor Technocracy defense drone, the crew of the USS Nightingale exchanged mining rights to a single system in the Typhon Expanse. As of 2379 through very creative interpretation of this agreement, Dozig has claimed the surrounding systems as part of the Ferengi Alliance under his control and seems to be rapidly expanding even further through the former territory of the Voor Technocracy.
