Camue the Jester
God of Mischief, Games, Children and Love
Camue takes responsibility for several overlapping domains. His childlike propensity for pranks, tricks and games escalated to divine proportions has, perhaps more than any other god beneath Gama and Eruer, shaped Valine. Most notably, Camue has created many of the species of sentient beings on Valine, often to mock the creations of his own divine parents. Beginning with making Orcs in mockery of the elves, Camue has created other species for reasons of merriment, spite, boredom and, often, for no reason beyond a whim.
Caniic, Loxodons, Giff, Tortles, Kenku, and Grippli (among many of the other sentient species) come from Camue's imagination. His propensity for taking simple animals and turning them into sentient humanoid species is obvious, of course, but his touch is also seen in many of the other species.
Camue's frequent appearances on Valine usually take place in the appearance of a Godtouched child. Carrying an oversized bow, he fires arrows of emotion liberally at targets wherever he chooses to surface, often causing chaos to ensue. So much so that out of character actions are referred to in some locales as being a result of "The Jester's Bullseye".
Camue is the protector of children and innocents of all kinds. He has been known to target abusers of children and relentlessly torture them into madness with an endless series of vindictive and harmful pranks. True followers of Camue have no mercy for those who would harm a child.
Though one of his domains encompasses romantic love, Camue is not interested in the physical love that mortal beings share beyond the act as a medium for producing children. He regards lust and sex as a more animalistic act and leaves such matters in the hands of Jopha the Verdant, Deity of Nature.
