Cloaker
Cloakers are intelligent subterranean animals that resemble enormous flying manta rays when they're active. They resemble a black cloak while at repose, hence their name.
Cloakers are xenophobic and want to be alone. They revere Guhvian, their forefather. The cloakers' ultimate intentions are unclear, but they are undoubtedly destructive and terrible creatures that strive to eradicate mortals from the earth.
Cloakers usually pursue their target from a safe distance or wait in ambush for them. When the time is right, the cloaker will spread its fins and attempt to engulf its victim inside them. Once a cloaker has captured its victim in this fashion, it defends itself with its long whip-like tail against any creatures that may try to intervene.

Cloakers communicate by emitting a subsonic groan that may travel up to 60 feet and is inaudible to most animals. As a protective mechanism, they may increase the volume of their moans, making them loud and making opponents feel a mixture of dread and sickness. The greatest intensity of this subsonic groan can have an effect similar to a hold person spell at 30 feet away. These noises, on the other hand, cannot penetrate thick things like stone.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Cloakers are typically solitary creatures, however elder ones have been known to enslave small groups of humans, Goblin, and drow. Though the most prevalent slaves of ancient cloakers are deep dwarves and Quaggoth. Cloakers have even been known to be worshipped as gods by less advanced tribes of beings.
