Fire Troll

A fire troll is a big, fire-resistant monster that is susceptible to cold, the polar opposite of a common troll . They're extremely uncommon in general. Trolls of this species, on the other hand, can be found in volcanic terrain. Fire troll shaman , both dangerous and magical, are among those with intelligence ranging from average to very bright.   Fire trolls are humanoids with large limbs and dark red skin. Their eyes are sunken into their sockets, but their dazzling yellow glow reveals that they are there. The trolls' hair looks like fire, with orange and yellow streaks, and their claws and fangs seem like fire-blackened steel. They are surprisingly adept swimmers; while avoiding water, they frequently waded through thick magma. They have mastered volcanic survival abilities, can scale steep tunnel walls, and have low-light vision of up to 300 feet.   In their natural habitat, such trolls enjoyed swimming and climbing. They are always hungry, but they prefer to land the kill rather than be distracted by food dropped by fleeing prey. They are notorious for devising long-term strategies to overtake specific territories, and they are cunning and intelligent. They are drawn to wealth and mystical things that can withstand severe temperatures.   Fire trolls are more intelligent than common trolls, and they are skilled at devising traps and ambushes for unwary prey. Trolls rising out of magma lakes in which they had previously been submerged can surprise travelers willing to visit to such regions. In addition to being shocked, adventurers may be splashed by globs of searing hot magma. Some trolls even hurled the fiery globs at their opponents, setting fire to adventurers' gear and their bearer.   Despite their huge limbs, these trolls are extremely agile and have lightning-quick reflexes and attacks. Due to their great size, they usually fight by clawing and then biting multiple opponents at the same time.   Because their dark claws and fangs are deadly enough, fire trolls choose not to use weapons. The troll's fast strikes would be slowed if they held a weapon.   Regeneration, as with most trolls, makes fighting much easier. They regrow even faster than usual in their chosen climate. Fire trolls regenerate at more than quadruple the normal rate when buried in magma, much to the chagrin of adventurers. Fire trolls are impervious to acid-based attacks, which further confuses adventurers. Trolls are known to be extremely vulnerable to fire and acid, both of which must be used to kill them. The fact that magma-wading fire trolls are immune to fire is self-evident, but the fact that they are also immune to acid is less so. As a result, adventurers who kill a fire troll will think it's a good idea to kill it with acid, yet the troll will rise and strike again. Fighting fire trolls becomes nearly hard for individuals who are unaware of their immunities. Fire trolls are feared for all of these reasons, and they are as difficult to fight as some dragons.   The orderly mix of cold, moderate electrical damage, or heavy physical damage is the only way to defeat the seemingly unstoppable fire troll. Cold attacks will cause double damage to fire trolls, and if they are knocked unconscious, they will appear lifeless. The troll, on the other hand, will thaw and resume fighting. If the troll's lifeless body is struck by electric or high physical damage, it will perish permanently.   Unless a weapon is vorpally charmed or very sharp, severing the massive, hardened limbs of fire trolls is difficult. Trolls, of course, have the ability to reconnect and regrow limbs. Because the blood of fire trolls is extremely corrosive to metal, weapons that can draw blood will simply melt away.

Basic Information

Ecology and Habitats

They can go months without eating since they are the top predators in their environment. Giant Strider and Fire Newt are their preferred prey. They also prey on Fire Giant on occasion. They are prepared to abandon their flaming kingdoms to hunt down dark and icy passageways for weaker humanoids like drow and deep gnomes. Such meat is prized by fire trolls, who consider it a delicacy.   Fire troll blood is employed in fire and acid spells, as well as in substances because of its great metal-melting abilities.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Fire trolls are mainly found in volcanically active areas, where they prey on races from the Undervale. They behave alone or establish small family-based tribes in this environment. There are no significant distinctions between the sexes. Combat determines who is in charge. Trolls can regenerate after being knocked down, therefore they never die this way. The tribe chieftain not only leads hunts and sets traps, but he also gets first dibs on loot looted from his neighbors.   Only females can become shamans  and command a vast array of power; in fire troll tribes, they are second in authority. They can use chaos and the elements of fire and earth to produce extremely powerful spells that aid in combat, divination, and necromancy. A shaman  can become a witch doctor on rare occasions, mixing divine and arcane powers.

Civilization and Culture

History

The origins of fire trolls are unknown. Sages, on the other hand, believe they are a new type of troll produced by Fire Giant sorcerers. This appears to be the case because Fire Giant, like fire trolls, are diametrically opposed to their Frost Giant cousins in terms of resistances and talents. It's possible that these fire trolls served as servants and guardians for such Fire Giant. The fact that fire trolls hunt Fire Giant for sport and to demonstrate their dominance over volcanic regions could be proof of this.
