Mottuna
God of Fire and Crafting
Where Eruer might seem to dominate Mottuna's domain as God of the Forge, it is in Mottuna's narrower focus that she reigns supreme. Eruer's forge represents the grander ideas and technological advances of sentient societies wheras Mottuna focuses on the artisinal development of more everyday objects, from weapons to pottery to woodworking to leatherworking. Moreover, Eruer's fiery aspects of the Forge and the Hearth are where he has a narrower focus than Mottuna whose dominion over fire covers everything from wildfire to campfires but doesn't really spill into affairs of the home and hearth.
If the distinctions sometimes get lost among the mortal species, Mottuna can be thought of as something of a gatekeeper for Eruer's affairs. Lost or misdirected prayers coming her way will reach their intended destination. As such, Mottuna finds that her temples work closely with those of Eruer and also of her twin brother, Hunia, God of Beasts and Hunting.
Mottuna is obsessed over Bulir the Envious, the First Demon. The pair have a child - Gides, God of Wine - after Mottuna spent time in The Asylum assessing whether her dominion over fire extended to Bulir's realm. Bulir the Envious, however, views Mottuna as a nemesis, blaming her for his ongoing imprisonment after failing to mould her obsession into a powerful enough incentive to defy the other gods and release him.
