The Dreadwood
Perched on the Southern end of the continent of Ageron there lies a large forest Known as the Dreadwood. Since the Great Storms on Voltera this has been the Known name of these woods. It is told that the Dreadwood is a dark place inhabited by foul creatures like Goblins, Dire wolves, Giant Spiders, Trolls and Owlbears just to mention a few. Traveling into the edges of the forest 8-12 Miles into the depths is considered unsafe to most but those experienced and brave enough venture in that far there are occasional patrols of wood elves and rangers and the occasional Hunter or Trapper. Once entering the Middle reaches the forest takes a more sinister appearance the woods are dark and even the brightest of days barley peaks through the canopy of the trees bright light only spreads 20-30 feet those that travel without light will find there is only dim light in much of the forest and in some places it is dark because of the thickness of the canopy. Spiritvines begin to entangle portions of these woods impeding or blocking some travel It is said that creatures such as Great Giant spiders, Hobgoblins, Ghouls and other undead and even Deadwood Golems make this region their home. Only Tales tell of the Dreaded Deeps of these woods where the Spiritvines Get so thick travel is impleaded to a crawl and Darkness looms over everything sources of light shine only 10 feet at best in this region and Greater Undead seem to abound as you enter into the Dark influences of this portion of the woods tales tell of travelers having difficulty even getting rest as they could feel the grips of the Great Hag Granny Nightshades herself.
