Fulfilling the Ritual
- Having been... gifted Luin's sword of sunlight by Rust, it fell to Farren to carry out the ritual to a temple of Luin on Luin's Day.
- There are several temples to Luin in Kariva, most in dangerous places.
- Following the directions of the Judge, the party descended below Celeb into the Undermarket and then to the Maze of Bones. They were greeted by a cloaked cleric of Luin who instructed them to venture within the maze, steer clear of the fog, and light a candle.
- Inside the maze, they encountered the corpses of two unlucky travelers and two bone devils. Zed found a mask worn by a tree who wished to be returned to the Temple of the Child. He gave the party directions for the quickest route to their destination.
- Walking into the fog transported the party members to the fountain in the middle of the first room.
- The party also discovered a hand held mirror and the orb of truth and possibility. With the mirror, Zed travelled back into the Mirror Dimension. He found himself in a city. After wandering around a while, he discovered a temple dedicated to Luin. Within it was a burning candle which he snuffed out. He immediately returned to the maze, in the chamber where the candle was to be lit.
- The party passed a tended garden underground.
- Rust overheard the sound of a hammer on an anvil. When investigated later (after lighting the candle), they found a weapon rack, some smith tools, and a gravestone. Whoever had been hammering away had left.
- The party lit the candle and defended it from hoards of skeletons that swarmed down from the wall.
- Sensing that the ritual was complete, Farren let his party back, mostly the way they had come. There was a slight detour into a room with tentacles rising from a magic circle on the floor. Destroying the nodes banished the creature.
- Later on, Farren had a dream in which it seemed that Luin accepted him.
