General Summary
Where to go, When to go
- Within Alton and Ryltar's furnished apartment, the party continued to debate what task they would tackle next. Would they deal with the Judge's issues with the Merchant's Guild, rescue Alton's Brother, or deal with the rumours of Dagon cultists in the Storm Giant lands? They focused on sstopping the hags, proposing to collect all the "god coins", to prevent any of the hags from returning to life.
- Harold maintained that he wished to go to the Isle of Roses. However, he expressed concern that without Gantar, he would no longer be able to hold any of the coins if they were to radiate power like the coin of Gyrdyr he still held in his pocket.
- The ship's teleportation was still charging and the crew was still sailing it slowly towards Harold's Landing.
Tiana Sharys is Missing?
- Harold asked the Zeds for the sending stone to Tiana. The Zeds claimed not to have it.
- Farren asked Ryltar if he could send a message to Tiana for Harold. Ryltar, after Tiana was described in detail to him, attempted to contact the sky elf but found his spell innefective.
- Krumbleton awoke and, at Haorld's request, attempted to contact Tiana himself. He also found his spell innefective.
- Harold was worried about Tiana.
- Farren contacted Finn and asked if he could find out anything regarding the wherabouts of Tiana Sharys.
Return to the Hole
- Since none of their goals were within easy reach, the party decided to return to the place where Rust fell, seeking either more clues to their fallen friend's whereabouts or for more of his lost gear.
- The wall in the tunnels of Auroliryn's outskirts that had been broken had been repaired.
- Ryltar claimed that he had been patrolling with the Ebonclouds in other areas, (and also, investigating some ruins farther from the city) but had heard that there were still activities in the cavern that was behind the wall.
- The party found sesame seeds on the ground.
- Alton found a pair of dark elves, an Eboncloud working with one of the Exiles, and asked for entry to the cavern.
- The party made their way inside, to find that the previously glass covered vat had been emptied. Ryltar identified the etched script within the vat as a consequence of the evil spell that had been cast on it once, evidently long ago. It seemed to be the words of the incantation that had been crafted of great despair.
- The glowing webs had been cleaned up.
- The hole in the ground where Rust had fallen had expanded significantly. A short wall, covered with wards had been erected around it, and around the bigger than before but smaller hole on the floor below.
- Farren, Alton, Beau, and Harold descended into the hole. Harold continued to glow brightly. Beau played an encouraging tune. In the dark tunnels beyond the Auroliryni roads, this noise and light attracted many predators in the area.
And then they almost died
- Three enormous purple worms poked into the tunnel, attracted by the movement of the many creatures attracted to the party's noted entrance.
- The party engaged the worms.
- Krumbleton leapt down from above to assist them.
- One worm was knocked from it's hole, falling to its death.
- Alton was grievously wounded, but refused to go down, enraged, though he continued to bleed out until Krumbleton managed to heal him.
- Krumbleton was almost eaten but the captain magically stepped in through the worm's chipped tooth and smote it to death from within.
- Another worm nearly swallowed Alton, but Beau stepped in to save her new companion. She escaped by magic as the party finished the worm off.
- Having heard the commotion, Ryltar and Fernando leapt into the hole but were too late to aid in the combat.
- Harold and Beau retrieved some of the worms' spikes.
- The group returned to the safetly of the patrolled tunnels to rest.
