Carthacht

Carthacht is one of the Sovereign Cities and the largest city in the Vairedanian Empire. It used to be the capital city of the kingdom of Arthair before the formation of the Empire. Now the city stands as a testament to overcoming obstacles and working together for a brighter future. Nestled on the edges of the Provenance Ocean, as well as the continents of Juudunia and Móndelrona, Carthacht is a veritable melting pot of cultures. The city is also thought to be the birthplace of the mortal turned god, Carthordian - Eternal Scholar / Father of Language. Thus the establishment of the Carthordian Society and the founding of Carthordian University. It is also a key reason why the Council of Astronomers choose to meet in the city. Carthacht was not always a shining example to the rest of the world however, during The Age of War the city was one of the most devastated battlegrounds for The War of Provenance. Nowadays however, the city embraces its historical significance and during The Age of Industry even began hosting the World's Fair every 25 years.
