Diservivian
Disvervivian is a term asociated with an ethnicity of Humans that are settled on the Diservive Gulf. They are loyal subjects of the Empire of Roscrea, but have created a culture that separates them socially from the rest of Roscrea. The Diservivian population makes up considerable- but not all- fractions of the populations of Kingdoms Roln, Rialse, Tragnment, and Watchersplace.
Culture
The Diservivians are a sea-faring people by nature, and have a natural affinity to sailing, fishing, and dock workers. Normally professions not thought of luctractive in other regions of the Empire are highly valued in Diservivian culture, such as fishermen. A common joke is said amongst the populace that a good fisherman is better than a rich noble. Fishing is one of the most popular acitivies and professions in the culture, especially in Kingdom Roln. Several competitions occur each year over fishing, with the most popular being the Sea Monster Games, which fishing teams compete in who can kill the largest sea monster. It is common to find impressive catches adorning the walls of a Disservivian's home. Because of the popular fishing culture, the scaling of fish has become popular as well, with a whole subcraft of jewelry being created, which consists of creating jewelry with the scales of fish, which are worn by many in the region. Shipcraft is very prevalent in the culture, especially in Kingdom Watchersplace, which has the greatest of harbors in all of Roscrea. The wealthier of the Disservivian population resides in Kingdom RialseArchitecture
The Disservivian Settlements that are built on the shore of the gulf have the unqiue quality of sloping into the water and having wooden platforms to extend the city into the gulf until it becomes a grand harbor.History
