Roscrea (Ross-cre-ah)
Roscrea is home to the humans of Wold. It is here, that they migrated from the old world, and settled into their new home quite nicely. Here, the Empire of Roscrea is found, which its ruling city is the capital of Roncria. Here, the legendary city rules over the vast empire, instructing laws, keeping the order, and stability within the vast land. Roscrea offers many challenges to its inhabitants, and to this day, the wild and dangerous land has still not been completely tamed, and dangers still lurk within Roscrea's deepest forests.
Geography
Roscrea is a diverse and large land, consisting of many different regions. The land consists of a Tundra in the north, bordering Guilnile, and being named Northern Roscrea. Northern Roscrea is separated by the Kenhardt River, which spills into the Diservive Gulf. South of the Kenhardt River lies The Prominent Plains, a flat and mostly dry terrain with little in the way of trees, hills or mountains. To the south of the Prominent Plains lies Middle Roscrea, the heart and soul of the land, filled with rolling green hils and rich forests.Ecosystem
Roscrea has quite the diverse ecosystem within its borders. From the mighty sea creatures of the Roscrean coast, to the small ferret of the plains of Roscrea, all react and thrive in their environment differently and in different ways. In the north, great snow storms cause the land to shrivel up, making the ground and land almost uninhabitable to the humans of Roscrea. Great hurricanes occasionally wreck havoc on Roscrea's shore, and the threat of forest fires during dry season is always prevalent. But amidst all this chaos, there is also beauty. Golden sea shores line the coast line of Roscrea, providing breathtaking sights, and long, pure beaches. the great and majestic mountains of the provide untold views and protection against the rugged cold of Guilnile. And the forests of the south provide great sanctuaries for nature.
Ecosystem Cycles
Roscrea contains all four seasons of Wold, being summer, spring, winter, and autumn, however, not every region of Roscrea experiences the seasons the same. Such as the frigid north, which only has mild summers, and harsh winters. However the Roscrea coast, stays warm almost all year because of warm tides and wind that come across the ocean towards the mainland. As such, the Roscrean coast sees an influx of birds and wildlife when the cold seasons come to the rest of Roscrea. During the spring, the animals return to their original land, and given three months to procreate and reproduce, before hunting season legally begins, however many ignore this, and simply hunt all year for food.
