Session XX: Snakes & Mirrors

General Summary

And so, our band of misery united on a cold autumn morning to look more into the mysterious Poison Garden. After some sweets and being served immaculate spicy lickerish for breakfast, Adam provided a letter to Sempiternal from Commander Gareth, informing them of a nearby stronghold that they were planning to take. Gwathrentur, Yelmar, Daren, Sempiternal and Tail'or collectively decided to meet up with them. But not after they took a paper from a kid and read about current grave-robbings that were happening all over.
Sempiternal scouted the ground ahead and discovered the entrance to the underground layer. However, their anticipation quickly turned into shock after they discovered Commander Gareth and his group completely petrified within the mirror maze that they found. They were not alone... 2 tall masked creatures tried their luck at setting the fate of the misery business in stone. However, their sinister intentions met their demise at the hands, paws and tentacles of Yelmar and Tail'or smashing the first "thing" to pieces. After which Daren managed to incapacitate the other. The interrogation ended quite fast with the latter creature's head taking a turn for the worse. Not to say it ever had the chance at a modelling career but the cracked neck pretty much sealed the deal.
Weirdly enough, in the pocket of one of the creatures was a picture of Sempiternal. Though they couldn't recall ever having their picture taken like that. Upon further investigation ahead, it became clear that this used to be a place of Mykaelis that he used for his schemes. Multiple letters confirmed the existence of a "Krya" who seemed to have regularly conversed with Mykaelis to help him develop his clones. Speaking of which, one of them remained sealed within these chambers. Sempiternal and Yelmar made quick work of it so that not even the best cleric could revive it and not even the best artificer could rebuild the tank. Their antics were witnessed by a weird little creature. Who was witnessed by Daren (arguably also a weird little creature).
Afterwards, the group split up as Sempiternal went their own way back to Livia so that they could skillfully "investigate" the incredibly suspicious and probably evil librarian Moira. Like Comon, she probably had it coming anyway. All the while the others slept at the pond where the "accident" had happened. The accident seemed to have vanished without a trace. In the middle of the night, Gwathrentur met the weird person in the mask they saw the day before at Mama Anas. She told them to get out so as to not get hurt, Gwathrentur woke the others and relayed the idea as they started to make a break for it hearing howling in the background, the masked woman shouting for Olga to come out and Gwathrentur seeing the face of Onyx pass him. What a beautiful night in the enchanted Kindred Domain at full moon...
