The Golden Helm
Within New City - fanciest and most expensive tavern in the entire city, only caters to exclusively wealthy and influential customers. Has a number of strong and rather opinionated bouncers that will not allow anyone disheveled or dirty looking into the city, often times the bouncers require a bribe or “tip” to let anyone through the door in the first place.The structure is a large marble and granite building, the inside of which has walls and floors made of finely polished oak, with plush carpets in many places. The common area has many small alcoves and booths, with very comfortable leather plush chairs and benches, all organized to give people privacy and comfortable seating.There are 10 rooms for rent in the upper floors, each of which is a suite that has its own bathroom, with magically enchanted plumbing for individual bathrooms, the beds and furniture are all gilded with actual gold and of the highest quality, with the fabrics all being rich silks, velvets and the like, things like candleholders and cups and whatnot are all made of solid silver.
It costs 25g a night to stay in one of the average suites, with additional fees for meals and drinks. This does however include free access to the common areas of the spa as well.For the full treatment, private spa experience, the fanciest suite, and the finest wines and food for meals, will cost around 150g a day.The tavern is owned by the Ravilla family, one of the wealthiest families in the city, and who’s patron is the member of the council that represents the guild of tavern keepers.
Their patron is named Sergius, he is a mid fifties human man, somewhat overweight, thinning hair, large bushy mustache, always wears the finest of clothes. Hasn’t done manual labor or what could be called hard work in decades. Inherited the ownership of The Golden Helm.
Day to day operations of the tavern are run by Simo Ravilla, Sergius’s son, in his mid 20s he is the one who can usually be found at the Golden Helm, though he does little besides greet customers and schmooze them.
Bartender - Syllar, Elven man, 310 years old, has been the bartender at the Golden Helm for nearly 90 years. Incredibly pompous and snooty individual, is very knowledgeable of elven wines and fine liquors, thinks dwarven whiskey is a brutish drink and is somewhat of a dick to anyone who doesn’t order the oldest and most expensive elven wines.
Cook - Tarhack, half orc man, mid 40s, incredibly good cook, though very loud and high stress most of the time. Tall and very strong individual, has a well maintained van dyke mustache of grey hair. keeps the rest of his head shaven.
Waitress - Gelara, halfling woman, mid 50s, very prim and proper, also very cute, dresses in fine silks with apron over top.
