Session 18: The Drowned Forest. Report

General Summary

The companions of franchise K woke up on the the morning of the 27th of Zeus to clear bright day steam coming of of the leaves of the plant from the Drowned Forest 3 leagues east of the town of Tegila. The smell of freshly cooked apples along with port and lamb meatballs waifs there noses. Fresh bread and coffee as well. The inn has 15 patrons eating this famous roman meal fit for the nobles of the Black Legion empire. The Inn keeper Lady Tiaza Sharphorns, a female minotaur, responsible for this fantastic meal.  Lieutenant Metilia Rulla sits at a table of nine eagerly eats this famous roman meal. A halfling waiter by the name of Jantran Goldmouse tells you that Lieutenant has reserved a table for you for breakfast. As you all gather and have breakfast with the lieutenant she tells you the following:

1. I am honored to have two knights of high esteem in my town.
2. Sergeant Arpagius I hear has updated you on our situation for the past five moons.
3. In case you have not heard some of citizens claim they saw glowing green eyes floating in the Drowned Forest.
4. The Jollys who have been bringing something to our shores once again did not show up on their normally scheduled time.
5. Once again the rain has not left any clues as to which path they chose to travel through the heart of these dreaded forest.
6. One citizen has been reported by their family that have not returned home from the Forest. He left over 24 hours ago looking for herbs and medicine for Sergia Aper the owner of the Silly Hag.
7. There are 12 trails that leave from the village heading into the cursed forest. We were not able to determine which trail these visitors were using. They always came at night. We believe they have somebody from town helping them and making sure there trail is covered.
8. My advice is to stay with the established trails they have been around for thousands of year. It is very easy to get lost

Then several companions went to the potions shops to see what they had. One of the potions ships, The Silly Hag on top of the normal potions that you would get also sold pies for medicinal purposes. The owner, Sergia Aper, claimed that her pies were famous in this area and have helped many a travelers in the Drowned Forest. Arceven leery did not by a pie but the intern Marik not only bought one but ate his pie as they traveled through the Drowned Forest. The party did stop at the Pegasus as well. Both potions ships offering 1 drachma per vile for potions ingredients and medicinal plants that could be used for potions of healing or med kits. Other companions also visited the Baking Crate trade Post for rations as well. During this time the party learned that Raz' Thrak and his squire were missing. Being this was a common practice of Raz' Thrak the party chose to move on with the mission and head to Drowned forest picking path number 4 where Dimmir was able to determine through some investigating was the path the smugglers were using to move there goods. The party headed out around the 12th hour of the day as fast as they could considering that they learned that the wagons that they brought would not fit on these trails. As the day moved on the party was able to stay on the trail and not get lost. The party at one point was traveling in chest high murky swamp water. It was during this time that the party started running into cob webs and fresh new webs The companions experience new that they were looking for spiders where Marik spotted a giant ice spider queen along with five other spiders. A fight ensued between the companions and these spiders with Dimmir and Karrin getting paralyzed by there deadly poison. The companions were able to make it to a dry patch in the forest where they are able to make a camp for the night.
