Freddie Wymond

Built like a brick shithouse, Freddie Wymond is a (former?) paladin of Morbin and an experienced veteran soldier of the Empire.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Solid slab of a person. His muscles are not particularly defined but they are most definitely there. He has the kind of physique that can carry a lot of heavy armor and a big heavy sword and swing it real hard for a very long amount of time then do it again the next day without any problems.

Facial Features

Obviously once-broken nose, a couple of scars, trimmed beard, salt-and-pepper hair pulled back into a ponytail. His skin is rough and tanned.

Major Sparrow

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Sparrow is slim and fit, dextrous and agile, without much muscle or bulk. He can move quickly and he's tough and wiry.

Identifying Characteristics

Sparrow has scars on his arms that seem to be self-inflicted, though not for the purposes of self-harm or suicide.

Special abilities

Rumor has it that Sparrow engages in blood curses in battle, a strange form of magic that very few practice.

Apparel & Accessories

Sparrow wears the crimson cloak of a Roadwarden. He carries a shield and a strange spear that seems always to have just a bit of fresh blood on it -- shining on the edge of the blade, staining the long shaft. The rest of his apparel is rugged and suited to travel in difficult circumstances, roughing it on hard terrain, and battle at a moment's notice. He wears light studded leather armor to keep his freedom of movement and does keep a crossbow around in case he needs to hit something farther away than the spear can easily hit.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Sparrow, as a member of the Roadwardens, gave up his family name when he joined up. It's said that he was an orphan and didn't have much of a family name to give up.    His career with the Roadwardens was a contentious one until a well-publicized incident in Ora Victoria when Sparrow and his partner Tegrit made a public scene in the middle of a party where the Emperor was in attendance. Much of what happened is unclear, and rumors ran absolutely wild after the event. The official story is that Sparrow and Tegrit hunted down a close associate of the Emperor who had turned traitor; a guard and one of the Emperor's concubines unforunately died in the fight that followed.    Rumor has talk of vampires, sex cults, sacrifices to the forbidden god, and other exciting things. But since no vampires or sex cults turned up afterwards, those rumors eventually died down.    From that incident, he was made a Hero of the Empire in a very public ceremony, and gifted with a spear from the Emperor's collection. Tegrit was also rewarded, uh, somehow.    From there, Sparrow catapulted straight into the public eye and remained there, somewhat uncomfortably, ever since. He fought a famous bandit along the Imperial roads, and other stories of his exploits got exaggerated and mixed up along the way. Harpies? Zombie plague? Trolls? He's done some shit. And, maybe more importantly, he's meddled in politics.

Roadwarden Aasimar who uses blood curses; famous for an incident involving the Emperor.

Information

Purpose / Function

Originally designed as a fortress, Stormguard (or Sturmgart) has been modified again and again over the unknown number of centuries since its design. Most recently, it is owned and controlled by the Trinity Empire, and has been for almost a millennium. Before that, rumors are split: was it built by orcs? Dwarves? Elves? Was it once the site of a battle against one of the Empire's last holdouts? A great rebellion?    Currently, it functions as a prison and a mine. The areas of the fortress buried below the surface are abandoned and forgotten.
