I've been crafting a unique magic system for my dark-fiction world, VISCERIUM. I believe that I have crafted something unique, something familiar and yet exotic.
A magic system that blends smoothly with my dark pagan/occult setting and yet still provides flare and mysticism across all four eras of VISCERIUM.

This piracy set in motion the devastating conflict eleven lifetimes ago.   Shajara, determined to secure control over what is now known as Tyrant's Gulf, to stop the plundering, implemented a drastic blockade, effectively sealing off the gulf's exit and mercilessly attacking any vessels trapped within. Höffdingen, in response, hastily marshaled its forces, leading to a perilous march across the isthmus into Shajara's territory.   However, Höffdingen was tragically ignorant of the situation on the Tabak Plateau and the peaceful, nomadic Lamina people. They mistakenly assumed all their adversaries hailed from Shajara. When Höffdingen's troops attempted to establish a strategic base on the plateau, they unknowingly triggered the wrath of the Lamina, who in turn believed that their lands were under attack by Shajara. I love the idea of letting folks make up their own challenges, so I'm taking part in a few. The first is #Marchitecture. This is my context, required for the challenge:   And this is the building I made:   The second I chose to take part in is #MagicMarch. For this one, I decided to revamp an ancient article I originally created using a different format back in 2018. Rewriting this one was really fun. If you want to take a look, here it is:   I'm also taking part in Adventures in Romance. (#ChooseRomance2024) Of course, I couldn't help but put a darker twist on the challenge. Here's what I wrote for this one:   To be honest, even though writing the articles and trying to follow the guidelines has been really fun, sharing my work has been difficult. I have extremely low self esteem when it comes to my creative stuff, whether that be my drawings or my writing. I want to get better about this, though, so I'm testing the limits of my comfort zone and putting my writing out there for the world to see.   I hope to participate in a few more unofficial challenges while they're still active. There are so many creative and fun-looking ones out there, I can't wait to get started on a few more!   #UnofficialChallenge

I'm so excited to be judging this soon, once April rolls around, because we are up to 13 entries on Magic March! Make sure to get your entries in while you can, there's only 15 days left to finish your entries! Late entries will not be accepted for judging, but I'll still throw the participation badge at you!
