Personal history

Kirana is a Commander.  At 17 she was accepted to the Prefsbelt IV Naval Academy.  At 19 she graduated with honors as a midshipman.  At 23 she made Commander as an emergency field promotion at the beginning of the Clone Wars.  Thanks to swift action, her ship was saved.  Kirana fought hard to prove she was worthy of her position for all three years of the Clone Wars, and knew that a Captaincy was in her future.

With the Republic's victory and subsequent dissolution was announced, Kirana was anxious.  Then it was announced that a brand new Imperial I Star Destroyer was going to be granted to a newly raised Ship Captain, and Kirana was both inwardly excited and outwardly calm and cool.  An lesser-ranked individual she had trained with named Jova Haqzey was promoted above her and received both the captaincy and a new ship while Kirana was dishonorably discharged for "ethical concerns" because she had once dated a Pantoran mechanic.

Kirana's many adventures are detailed in Book One. Suffice it to say that she never thought she would end up here - a traitor to her Imperial government and self proclaimed leader of a rebel cell, or as ally to a Senator. She knew she'd be a captain. Just never as an Independent one.

Education

Kirana was home-schooled as was the custom on her backwater agricultural homeworld of Nez Peron. She studied hard and passed the exams for entrance into the Republic Academy there at fifteen, and graduated at seventeen just before enlisting in the Republic Navy. She hasn't been back since.

While in the Republic Navy, she trained at Prefsbelt, then underwent Officer Training at Corulag Academy with three of her friends from Prefsbelt. After the Formation of the Empire, and the subsequent end of the Clone Wars, she underwent a brief academic review while stationed on Taris before being discharged.

Employment

Kirana is currently self-employed as the leader of rebel cell, it says so on her B.o.S.S. license.

Kirana is best described as pan-sexual. Gender, Species, abilities, physical traits and descriptors are so varied between her romantic liasons that it comes down to one factor - personality. Everything else fades into the background.

Kirana is a female human woman, in keeping with her birth-gender, and identifies as a strong and feminine woman. To her mind these are not mutually exclusive terms - to be strong is to be a pillar for others to lean on, stable, steady and firmly rooted; to be feminine is to be alluring, capable of tenderness and care, and in tune with emotional states, both one's own and of those around them.
