Larissa notice there are "beads" of what looks like blood "rolling" down the passage and wanders off to investigate them, while Anton uses his camera phone to see if he is able to touch Malady... he cannot.
With daylight coming, Anton locks himself into a panic room for safety and, when he emerges the following evening Malady is visible again. Anton reminds her that she was sent into the house to find the other apparent ghost. A short time later, Anton is called into the bedroom to consult on whether a mirror is broken - but Anton and Larissa both think the mirror is broken with a fist-sized hole, but Malady says it is whole. Malady asks Anton to break the mirror, which he does with the butt of his gun.
There is a (one-way) conversation between Malady and, presumably, the ghost in the mirror - it turns out he is a young boy that Larissa tried unsuccessfully to treat some five years ago when he presented at the hospital with bullet wounds and signs of sustained abuse.
Anton intuits that the ghost is using the tzimisce, who he calls "Smooshie", to persecute Larissa and that it is her responsibility to attend to the "unfinished business" intrinsic to being a ghost. Larissa isn't helping resolve the unfinished business, so the ghost has implored Smooshie to hurt Larissa in some way.
Larissa makes a phone call to Arthur, and says she can meet Ugor the next night.
Malady mentions that the ghost told her someone was watching Larissa... Anton thinks this may be the tzimisce, and goes to review the security cameras. He sees interference blanking out the internal cameras, and back-tracks that to start in the lounge. Larissa mentions that seemed to be the end point of the flow of blood drops - they were disappearing into the floorboards. After a lengthy investigation around the room, Anton discovers an out-of-place sconce with a hidden button that reveals a hidden trap door and stair case.
