A group of adventurers decides to head out to the clay mud flats to hunt some goblins (and giants) whose tracks have been sighted by the halfling potters when they go for more clay. I follow, because hunting goblins sounds mildly entertaining - at the very least, it's something to do. Which is why I came here in the first place.
The goblins had set up their version of an ambush, which we had anticipated, and we turned the tables on them. The dwarf cleric played bait while the rest of us hid back in the trees. Unfortunately for most, they had set up out of range, though not for me. Both sides move closer to each other, but I'm perfectly happy with my tree. The joys of having a longbow. The goblins go down rather easily; the flab giant they brought takes a bit more time.
We follow the tracks of the goblins and their giant deeper into the woods, encountering a couple of harpies. One manages to charm the others for a moment, but they don't stay charmed for long. Ultimately, the harpies attempt to flee, and I'm able to bring down one of them. We make camp and head back to town in the morning.
